Coverking was founded by an electrical engineer in southern California in the late eighties. However in these 20 odd years the company has grown tremendously and today has emerged as the #1 brand in the world in the domain of automobile covers, seat covers, dash covers, floor mats, sunshields and other automobile accessories.

But the biggest achievement of Coverking is that the company has been responsible for modernizing the automobile accessory industry. It was Coverking that first introduced the use of advanced machinery, modern technology and process automation in the manufacturing process. Before that the industry used to depend on manual labor and ‘cut-and-sew’ method of production, and all this changed with Coverking.

The company was founded in southern California by a person who had extensive experience in the Aerospace Defense industry and understood the importance of modernity and how it impacted productivity and gave a better result to the consumers. And because of all these innovations, the end result was this. The production time and cost was reduced. And the final product was cheaper and better. The customer thus got better value for the product.

Coverking soon became famous and recognition came in the form of General Motors allowing the company to use the GM logo in all covers that was made for the General Motors vehicles. The company is also the only one that has been QS9000 and TS16949 Quality Certified.
