Pelt
Pelt stands for animal skin, usually available from beaver, raccoon, bear and fox that has fur, wool or hair attached to it. It is frequently used in vehicle seat cover in place of genuine fur which is far too expensive.

Friction
Friction is a term from Physics. It indicates chafing or the rubbing action between two similar or dissimilar materials like a person’s clothing and the seat cover whenever he or she is boarding the vehicle or leaving it. Friction leads to the heat. Heat generated through the process causes surface deterioration of the seat cover.

Custom Fit seat cover
Vehicle seat covers that are designed to fit as snugly and truly as the original seat covers that were installed by the automobile manufacturer are referred to as Custom seat covers. These covers fit so well because they are integrated using computer aided designs and computer aided manufacturing techniques that permits every pattern to become customized. And the end results of this are always perfect.

Semi-custom Fit seat covers
Semi-custom Fit seat covers provide almost 80% accurate fit as compared to Coverking Custom Fit’s 100% perfection. However, Semi-custom Fit seat covers are not meant for vehicles having Side Airbag Safety features installed in them as these are likely to obstruct their operations.

Polyester
Polyester is a water-resistant synthetic material that is used for seat cover making. However Polyester is also applied elsewhere. Polyester was greatly favored first by the disco community during the late seventies.

Pink Slip
Pink Slip is a Yankee slang denoting vehicle registration certificate. It is also linked to road racing where the winner is often entitled to own the loser’s vehicle only if the Pink Slip can change hand. Hence the popular saying - “Don’t lose your Pink Slip”.

Universal Fit seat covers
Though they may come cheap, but you should never get these covers. Available in 3 sizes – Big, Small and Medium, these covers rarely fit well and are thus not recommended. Universal seat covers do not fit well because they are not made with the exact model and make measurements.

UV or Ultra Violet emission
Indicates emission or radiation of Ultra Violet rays that are not only harmful to the human skin but also for automobile upholstery. Too much exposure to UV harms the upholstery.
